The Cutest—Budget Friendly— Airbnb for Couples in Nederland, CO
Bonus: It Has A Hot Tub!
Nederland, Colorado is a quirky, laid-back mountain town surrounded by pine trees, scenic trails, and stunning views in every direction—and it’s only an hour away from Denver!
After a busy few weeks, my partner and I decided to escape here for a quick weekend getaway—and it turned out to be exactly what we needed.
From cozying up in our Airbnb with mountain views to exploring the small downtown and relaxing in a hot tub under the stars, it was the perfect blend of rest and adventure.
This is the perfect quick weekend getaway trip near Denver or Boulder, CO.
Where We Stayed
Our Airbnb was an entire lower level suite in Nederland, CO which I’ve linked HERE.
This room had incredible views of the surrounding peaks and Barker Reservoir, a comfy king sized bed, a small kitchenette equipped with coffee and tea, and everything else we needed for a relaxing stay—including towels.
It also had a nice sofa with a TV and a small dining table for eating.
Everything was clean and the room was well kept.
I could tell right away that the host cared about optimizing the guests experience.
The most thoughtful piece was the towel warmer that was placed right next to the door that leads to the hot tub, so you could quickly grab a warm cozy towel when you hop out of the hot tub.
Despite being on the lower level of the host’s home, we were unbothered by the people who live above.
We enjoyed spending a cozy night in — watching movies and going in and out of the hot tub — as well as easily going to and from downtown Nederland for dinner.
It was exactly the peaceful, rejuvenating mountain getaway we were hoping for — the perfect mix of comfort, convenience, and quiet.
I would recommend to anyone visiting Nederland, Colorado and is looking for a cute Airbnb to stay at for a night or two.

Things To Do in the Area
We didn’t do a whole lot in downtown Nederland, but we did walk through the main street and enjoyed the shops and restaurants the small mountain town has to offer.
I also enjoyed taking a short morning walk along Middle Boulder Creek which took us to Veterans Memorial Park.
The Nederland Mining Museum, the Carousel of Happiness, and Gypsum Rose Minerals & Fossils, just to name a few, are common stops among tourists in the area.
Other popular activities in the area include biking, hiking, fishing, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing.
Where We Ate
We had dinner one night at Crosscut Pizzeria and Taphouse, which great seating options both inside and outside.
The restaurant was packed when we visited, so it took a little longer to get our food, but the pizza was great.
I ordered the TEO pizza which I would recommend if you love a perfect wood-fired crust.
The Train Cars Coffee and Kava was on my list of places to visit in Nederland, CO because it’s so unique.
It’s an old train car that has been converted into a coffee shop and guests can dine inside the old train.
Such a fun, unique experience you won’t find anywhere else.
We couldn’t help but stop at New Moon Bakery for breakfast, a local favorite for breakfast pastries and coffee. Their homemade quiches hit the spot before we headed out for the day.
Between the friendly locals, scenic lake views, cozy Airbnbs, and great local food, Nederland is an ideal weekend getaway from Boulder or Denver.
