Tour Details
The tour begins with a short video that walks you through the history and growth of the Coors brand in Golden. It sets the stage for how this small Colorado operation became a nationally recognized name.
From there, you’ll explore different parts of the brewing facility, including:
The grain and milling process
Fermentation tanks and brewing vats
The lab where quality is tested
The packaging area where cans are filled and boxed
The scale of the operation is impressive. The automated canning and shipping system was honestly the coolest part for me. Watching thousands of cans move seamlessly through the line gives you a whole new appreciation for what goes into mass distribution.

Beer Tastings
If you’re 21+, you’ll receive three full-size 12 oz beers during the tour—two at designated stops and one in the hospitality lounge at the end.
My recommendation? Try the Coors Light Ultra Chilled at the end. It’s ice-cold and incredibly crisp—something you really don’t get outside of the brewery itself.
Don’t forget to bring a valid government-issued ID if you plan to drink.
My Review
Our tour guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about the brewery’s history. The experience felt well-organized and informative without being overwhelming.
I was honestly surprised at how generous the beer samples were—three full-size pours definitely makes the $20 ticket feel worth it (we were all buzzed by the end of our 10:00am tour).
The highlight for me was the automated packaging system. Seeing how efficiently everything moves from production to shipment was fascinating.
